ATM Services

ATM

Account information is available at any NewFirst ATM with no fee and are located at most branch locations.  Refer to Locations & Hours to view ATM locations.  The NewFirst National Bank fee for non – NewFirst ATM usage is $1.00 per transaction except for the following accounts: 

Check Card

Offers the convenience of a credit card and the ability to access account status and cash 24 hours a day.  The card may be used instead of writing a check to purchase products or services anywhere the MasterCard logo is displayed.  NewFirst reserves the right to block certain transactions based upon fraudulent activity.

Bookkeeping Services

Chargeback

Chargebacks are most often used to reverse a credit due to non – payment of a deposited item by the account it is drawn on.  When a Chargeback occurs NewFirst National Bank will mail a letter with the returned item notifying the customer of the chargeback.  The fee for a Chargeback is $5.00 each.

Collections

Collections is a service that allows for the collection of checks or drafts.  NewFirst National Bank will send out a collection letter, receive the funds and deposit the funds into the account as soon as the funds are received.  After the funds are received there is no risk of them being returned.

Credit Inquiry

NewFirst National Bank will provide Credit Inquiries with the request and authorization of the Business customer.  The fee for this service is $5.00 and is available only to NewFirst Business customers.

Direct Deposit

Direct deposit payroll, social security, or retirement checks into checking and savings accounts for immediate access to funds.

Hold Statement

NewFirst National Bank will hold Bank Statements at the customers request for pickup at their designated branch.  The fee for holding a Bank Statement is $3.00 per month, per account and only accessible to authorized individuals.

Levy / Garnishment

If NewFirst National Bank receives a Levy / Garnishment request from the Federal or State Government, NewFirst must comply and honor the request.  The fee for Levy / Garnishment is $35.00 each.

Express Deposit

NewFirst National Bank may provide commercial customers lockbox processing that will speed collections and optimize the use of funds.

Express Deposit is available to NewFirst commercial customers only.  Pricing is available upon request.

Overdraft Protection

Overdraft Protection may be established to ‘protect’ a NewFirst checking account by linking another NewFirst checking, money market or savings account.  Money Markets and Savings have withdrawal limitations and additional fees may result if limits are exceeded.  Transfers are made automatically to cover Insufficient Fund Items and to avoid overdraft charges, up to the available balance of the account.  

Negative Available Balance

A Negative Available Balance is created when the uncollected funds in your account exceeds the amount that is available for withdrawal (available balance).  The available balance reflects the latest balance based on transactions recorded to your account including deposited funds, paid checks, withdrawals and point of sale purchases made with your ATM or Check Card.  The fee for a Negative Available Balance is prime plus 1% each day the available balance is negative.  Availability of deposits may vary – please see the Funds Availability Policy for complete details.

Research

NewFirst customers may have their account statements researched or balanced for $25.00 per hour and $2.00 per copy.

Statement / Document Copy

Receive extra copies of NewFirst Bank Statements or Documents for a fee of $2.00 per copy.  NewFirst customers may also view current or previous statements online with E-Banking and have the option to download Bank Statements or enroll in E-Statements and safekeep your E-Statement on E-Banking up to 12 months or store indefinitely on your own computer.

Stop Payment / Renewal

NewFirst customers can place a Stop Payment on a check or renew a Stop Payment that has expired from any branch location.  Stop Payment is also available to business customers with E – Corp.  Stop Payments will remain in effect for six months. The Stop Payment / Renewal fee is $28.00 per check.

Telephone Inquiry or Transfer with Customer Service

NewFirst National Bank Customer Service may transfer funds between NewFirst accounts at the customers request.  There is a fee of $3.00 for each transfer or inquiry.

Lobby Services

Automatic Transfer

An Automatic Transfer of funds may be established to transfer between NewFirst accounts with a pre-determined amount, date and frequency.  The frequency options are weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, semi-annually and annually.  The is no fee for transferring from checking to savings accounts; however, transfers from money market accounts or savings accounts are limited and excess withdrawals will result in fees and possibly closure and re-classification of the account.

CDARS

The CDARS (Certificate of Deposit Account Registry Service) program currently offering FDIC Insurance up to $50 million.  CDARS is available for all types of investors including individuals, partnerships, corporations, associations, and public organizations.

Close Account

If a NewFirst account is closed within 90 days of opening, there is a fee of $25.00

Deposit Lock Bag & Deposit Zipper Bag

The Deposit Lock Bag and Deposit Zipper Bag are ideal for storing coins, currency, checks and documents.  Both of the Deposit Lock Bag and Deposit Zipper bag are made out of a durable material that make it possible for these bags to withstand the wear and tear of daily abuse.  The Deposit Zipper bag is included with all business checking accounts and for lobby use only.  Two keys are included with the Deposit Lock Bag.  The Deposit Lock Bag is for Night Depository use only.

Endorsement Guarantee

An Endorsement Guarantee is provided to customers when requesting either cash or exchange for an official check for a check drawn on another financial institution.  The fee for an Endorsement Guarantee is $5.00.

Notary Services

NewFirst customers with proper identification may have certain documents notarized at branch locations during normal business hours free of charge.

Safe Deposit Box

Secure valuables and important documents in a Safe Deposit Box at NewFirst National Bank.  Safe Deposit Boxes are available at most NewFirst locations.  Sizes and annual rentals are:

There is an additional fee of $10.00 for manual billing and an additional fee for past due rent at $10.00 per month.  A $10.00 key deposit is required per box.  Box drilling is $150.00.  Sizes may vary at different NewFirst locations.  Safe Deposit Boxes are not FDIC insured.

Signature Guarantee

NewFirst National Bank will provide a Signature Guarantee to customers who request an endorsement of a stock certificate or investment security.  The fee for a Signature Guarantee is $20.00.  The maximum transaction value is $100,000.

Wire Transfer

Send or receive funds electronically to or from NewFirst National Bank with another financial institution.  Wire transfers provide a fast and secure way to send and receive money.  As soon as the wire is received the funds are considered collected and available for immediate use.  NewFirst National Bank customers may request an outgoing wire transfer in person, by fax, phone, E – Corp or mail.  Transfer requests by fax, phone or mail will be accepted only if a Wire Transfer Agreement is in place.  A call back will be made to verify the information via a recorded line.  Outgoing wire transfers may be transferred the same day before the cut-off time of 2:30 p.m.  Outgoing wire requests received after 2:30 p.m. will be transferred the next business day.  The fees for outgoing wire transfer are:

Funds from incoming wire transfers that have been received before 4:00 p.m. will be available in the account the same business day.   Any incoming wires received after 4:00 p.m. will be processed on the next business day.  The fee for an incoming wire is $5.00

Lending Services

Installment Loan Coupon Book

Installment loan customers may use coupon books containing coupons or slips for each loan  payment.  The coupons / slips state the amount and the date the payment is due.  The fee is $10.00 to re-order an Installment Loan Coupon Book.

Loan Amortization / History Schedule

The Loan Amortization / History Schedule is a record of loan or mortgage payments, showing payment number, payment amount (and a breakdown of how much is principal and how much is interest) and the balance owed after a payment has been made.  Loan Amortization / History Schedules are available to NewFirst loan customers for $5.00 per loan.

Merchant Services

Merchant Services at NewFirst provides business customers with both credit card and debit card processing for all major cards including: VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.  Equipment is available and may be either leased or purchased at a competitive price.  Additionally, through Merchant Services, check guarantee service is available, so business customers may accept checks without taking the risk and cost associated with returned checks.  Contact any NewFirst location for details to establish Merchant Services.

Online Services

E – Corp / E-Banking

E - Corp allows account access 24 / 7.  E-Corp provides qualified business customers with a sophisticated and flexible electronic cash management tool, with customized packages available.

E - Statement

E-Statements are the same as a paper statement, only you can view them online, electronically.

There is no fee for E – Statements and the maintenance fee on all personal checking accounts is reduced for customers enrolled in E - Statements.  E-Statements are available to all NewFirst customers, both Personal and Business.

Remote Deposit

Remote Deposit utilizes a desktop scanner that connects to a PC and the Internet.  With it, scan checks received from customers and issue deposits electronically to NewFirst National Bank, anytime day or night.  It’s the quickest way to deposit funds into your account.

Remote Deposit is available to certain qualified commercial customers that have an account with NewFirst and enrolled in E – Corp.  To preview Remote Deposit, visit the Online Education Center.

Cashier’s Checks & Money Orders

Cashier’s Checks and Money Orders may be issued by NewFirst National Bank and purchased with cash or collected funds.  The maximum amount for Money Orders is $1,000.00.

Check-Cashing

NewFirst National Bank allows for non-customers to cash some types of checks.  The Check-Cashing fee for a non-customer is $5.00 minimum or 2%.

Gift Card

Giving the right gift just got easier with a MasterCard Gift Card from NewFirst National Bank.  Gift Cards are $2.00 each.

Gift Check

American Express Gift Checks are a unique alternative to buying a gift and are accepted worldwide by merchants that accept American Express Travelers Cheques.  American Express Gift Checks are $2.50 each.

Night Depository

A 24 / 7 Night Depository is available for NewFirst customers at all locations.

Temporary Checks

Temporary Checks are available for NewFirst customers at $1.00 per check.

Travelers Cheques

Travelers Cheques are accepted Worldwide and are a safe way to carry money when traveling.  Travelers Cheques are available in $50 and $100 denominations.  The fee for Single Signature Travelers Cheques is 1% and 1.50% for Checks for Two Travelers Cheques.  Single Signature Traveler Cheques are available with the following accounts without a fee:

Uncoded Deposit Slips

Uncoded Deposit Slips are available to NewFirst business customers and will be charged $1.00 each to the account.

Vault Services

NewFirst National Bank’s Vault Services include deposit processing and coin and currency replenishment for commercial customers who have cash intensive businesses.  The fees for Vault Services are $2.00 per $1,000.00 in currency and $.08 per coin roll.
