General Summary
Under the supervision of the Branch Service Supervisor, and in compliance with established policies and procedures, performs a variety of customer services including but not limited to teller and sales activities. Answers questions from existing customers, prospective customers and branch staff concerning products and/or services provided by the bank.

Minimum Level of Preparation and Training
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Six months to one year heavy cash handling experience required.
Be familiar with bank products and services.
Previous teller, sales or retail experience preferred.

Skills and Abilities
Be outgoing, friendly and eager to assist customers and/or bank staff.
Have the ability to recognize a sales situation and transfer to the Personal Bankers.
Have a pleasant and friendly telephone demeanor and voice.
Be motivated and able to cross-sell all bank services, when appropriate.
Have a full knowledge of all areas of the bank, or be able to learn them quickly.
Have ability to learn about all bank products and services quickly.
Have a broad knowledge of computer systems and ability to learn bank’s LAN network.
Be able to deal effectively and tactfully with customers and personnel from other departments and branches.

Work Schedule

Position: Personal Banker

General Summary
Under the direction of the Branch Service Supervisor, and in compliance with established policies and procedures, performs a variety of sales activities. Performs customer services such as opening new checking, savings and certificate accounts; performs teller services as needed and answers questions concerning products and/or services provided by the bank.

Essential Functions
 Open new deposit accounts Service existing deposit accounts
  •  Answer customer inquiries
  •  Accepts and processes stop payments, changes of address, wire transfer requests, debit cards, etc.
  •  Order checks and deposit slips
  •  Close deposit accounts
 Perform teller functions when back up is needed
  •  Available to open or close the teller line
  •  Perform all paying and receiving teller functions
  •  Receive and process all night deposit bags
 Assist in the servicing of existing and potential customers Assure that corporate goals (objectives) are met Develop new and existing relationships Is knowledgeable of regulatory requirements and compliance issues as related to area of responsibility Follow through on established Training Curriculum Cross-trained in all customer service duties Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. of coin as needed

Minimum Level of Preparation and Training
 A high school diploma or G.E.D.
 One to three years of job related experience in lobby services, new accounts or other customer related position.
 Completion of new accounts training program and teller training program.
 Excellent working knowledge of bank products and services.
 Previous sales or retail experience preferred.

Work Schedule
This is a full-time position with a normal work schedule of 8 am–5 pm Monday–Thursday and 8 am – 5:30 pm on Friday.


 

Full Time Teller Internet Job Posting

Position: Full-time Teller
Location: El Campo Drive In
Salary: Commensurate with experience

General Summary
Under the supervision of the Lobby Service Manager and in compliance with established policies and procedures, performs a variety of customer services including but not limited to teller and sales activities. Answers questions from existing customers, prospective customers and branch staff concerning products and/or services provided by the bank.

Essential functions

 Perform all paying and receiving teller functions.

 Open night deposit vaults daily.

 Receive and process all night deposit bags.

 Banking Relationships

 Solicit new business

 Service existing loans

 Answer any customer inquiries

 Accept loan payments

 Issue Cashier Checks

 Issue Temporary Checks

 Accept Stop Payments, Wires, Change of Address

 Redeem U.S. Savings Bonds

 Assist customers with Online Banking and Mobile Banking Inquires

 Close deposit accounts.

 Service existing deposit accounts.

 Answer customer inquiries.

 Performs account-related maintenance.

 Receive and verify other types of payments, such as safe deposit box rentals, purchase of bank checks, utility bill.

 Packages and exchanges coin and currency as needed and according to accepted practice.

 Responsible for the processing of the Savings Bonds and that they are completed accurately.

 Responsible for accuracy and timeliness of Reg CC Holds.

 Initiate and follow-up research requests.

 Responsible for monitoring cash levels and balancing cash.

 Responsible for completing Cash Transaction Reports and $3,000 Log accurately and according to regulation and current laws.

 Ensure that all proof documents are correct and arrive within established time limits.

 Knowledgeable of all technology utilized as related to the areas of responsibility.

 Follow through on established Training Curriculum.

 Other duties as assigned.
